Antifouling
Self-polishing and hard antifoulings for hulls that stay afloat between trips. Biocide content and boat type drive the price far more than the brand does, so we quote against how the boat is actually used rather than what is cheapest on the shelf.
Epoxy hull primers
Corrosion-inhibiting primers for steel and barrier-coat epoxies for FRP laminate. Two different jobs: one is fighting rust from the moment the surface is bare, the other is keeping water out of the laminate and giving the antifouling something to key into.
Topside enamels and PU
Above the waterline the enemy is UV, not fouling. Marine enamels are brush and roller friendly and forgiving on timber; two-pack PU holds gloss and colour far longer on wheelhouses, superstructure and topsides that get full sun.
Non-slip deck paint
Deck coatings with an aggregate additive for working surfaces. Plain topside enamel on a deck goes slippery the moment it is wet and wears through inside a season under boots, ice boxes and gear.
Bilge and engine-room coatings
Coatings that tolerate standing water, salt and spilt diesel, plus heat-resistant enamel for exhaust runs and engine casings. The fourth zone on a boat, and the one most often painted with whatever tin was left over.
Thinners, hardeners and consumables
Brand-matched thinners and hardeners — mixing a two-pack with the wrong thinner ruins the batch — along with solvent-resistant roller sleeves, brushes, abrasive paper, masking tape and stirrers, so the job is not held up by a missing consumable.
