The economy solvent-thinnable cement primer, specified where a primer coat is still required but the premium grade is not justified. It binds loose plaster dust and gives the topcoat a stable surface to sit on, which is the main reason emulsion peels when primer is skipped. Spread is lower than the Calista grade at 70 to 90 square feet per litre in one coat, so allow for the extra material when estimating.
